Day 2 – April 25 | Stockholm City Tour & Sakura Festival
Arrival in Stockholm at 10:00.
After disembarkation we begin our guided city tour of Stockholm, discovering both the historical and modern sides of the Swedish capital.
Stockholm’s history is inseparably connected with water. Here, where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea, Viking traders once sailed their routes across Europe and beyond. Archaeologists still discover treasures from those times — including Arab coins and jewelry brought back from distant voyages.
Today the city reveals a surprising cultural contrast. In Kungsträdgården Park, a gift from Japan in 1998, the famous Stockholm cherry blossoms transform the park into a spectacular cloud of pink flowers each spring.
During the excursion you will discover:
• the famous Stockholm Metro, known as the longest art gallery in the world
• the lively district of Norrmalm, the modern heart of the city
• elegant Östermalm, with its grand boulevards and historic architecture
• the prestigious waterfront promenade Strandvägen
We will also visit the historic Östermalms Saluhall Market, one of the most beautiful food halls in Scandinavia, where you can discover Swedish delicacies such as venison, Baltic herring, crayfish and the famous shrimp sandwich.
You will also see the unique point where the fresh waters of Lake Mälaren meet the Baltic Sea — a fascinating hydrological phenomenon in the very center of Stockholm.
Our tour finishes in Kungsträdgården Park, where the cherry blossoms create one of the most beautiful spring scenes in Scandinavia.
After the excursion you will return independently to the ferry.
Departure from Stockholm at 16:45.
